Magazine Advertising Sales Manager – Photo & Video

Werner Publishing Corp., a growing and entrepreneurial West Los Angeles consumer magazine and Website publisher, is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated and experienced ad sales manager to join our dynamic sales team in the photo and video categories: Outdoor Photographer, PCPhoto, Digital Photo Pro and HDVideoPro.

A successful candidate possesses the ability to make professional presentations, close sales consistently, prospect and create strong relationships, and communicate clearly, both written and verbal.

Advertising sales or advertising agency experience of at least three years is important, publishing experience is a plus, and knowledge of any one of our special-interest fields is helpful. We’re looking for a sales professional who has a proven track record of meeting and exceeding sales or marketing goals.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and prior successes, and includes a base salary, commission (with guarantees), bonuses and generous benefits. Some travel is required.

Advertising Sales Manager – Golf

Werner Publishing Corp., a growing and entrepreneurial West Los Angeles consumer magazine and Website publisher, is seeking an ambitious, self-motivated and experienced Ad Sales Manager to join our dynamic sales team in the Golf category: Golf Tips, Golf Equipment Buyer’s Guide, Golf Instruction Annual and Golf Power Annual.

Responsibilities: meeting all sales goals and grow print and web advertising revenue; prospect for new clients; prepare creative integrated print/web proposals; and work as a member of a team, keeping management apprised of all aspects of the selling process.

Skills/Qualifications: three years of publishing advertising sales or agency experience; strong oral and written communication skills; a proven track record of meeting sales goals; highly motivated, passionate and ethical; and a B.A./B.S. in a related field.
